Details:
This dinosaur theme was an easy choice for my son’s 1st birthday since his middle name is Rex! I started with the theme and color choices, then Samantha created the invitations and party signs. From there everything pretty much fell into place. Samantha hand-lettered the adorable chalkboard welcome sign to greet guests, and I printed dino tracks to lead guests inside. The focal point of the party was the greenery backdrop and balloon garland from Lindsay at Sprinkled Sweet. This was one area we splurged since I wanted a good backdrop for photos.
Food/Dessert Tables:
For table runners, we used simple kraft paper and decorated with tropical leaves and dinosaur figures we had been collecting from thrifting. We had a simple white vanilla smash cake with a t-rex as the cake topper, dinosaur footprint sugar cookies, cupcakes with dino egg toppers, and chocolate covered pretzels for fossils. For food, we had cocktail weenies and meatballs (T rex treats), meat/cheese and crackers, fruit and dip, and chips and dip. Samantha hand lettered all the adorable food table signs that matched the theme perfectly! Other decor included a jumbo number balloon, photo banner, and a dino party hat I made.
